Maybe an Alternate captain? then we get hit with Averys' signing in Dallas...its gonna take a while for me to figure out why Sean left for the big D, but with his ties to Brett Hull in Detroit ( hullie supposedly took Avery under his wing) is wasn't that far fetched a situation. Averys' energy will be missed and his ability to pester the opposing team has to be matched by some other Ranger in the upcoming year. Ryan Callahan? Zherdev and Fritche? absolutly brilliant! Zherdev has had a tough time adjusting to the style of play in his first few seasons...he played with an absolute puck-hog in CBJ...he will have an outstanding campaign with the likes of Scotty G. feeding him the puck... Z's speed and golden hands will have the Garden rocking... Dan Fritche has a lot of potential as a two way force for years to come. He had a great junior career and i expect steady play from him.
