Today I stop following Rangers
I have been a Rangers fan for over 40 years. I hated when they got Drek [sic] Sanderson, when they traded Retelle and Park for Esposito and Vadnais, when they let Messier and later Leetch go. But this is too dumb.
Brashear?
Why not hire somebody to break the knees of opposing star players (a'la Tanya Harding vs. Nacy Kerrigan)? Simpler and cheaper.
If I wanted to watch fighting I'd watch Chris Jericho on WWE
I could only sadly chuckle when I read Sather's comment "He is quicker and he can get on the puck a little faster" Quicker to drop his gloves maybe. Puck? He would not know what it is if he ever saw one. Hockey stick? He'd probably fall over if someone tapped him with it on a shoulder. To think of it, he did!

Quoting wikipedia: Recently TSN analyst Pierre McGuire declared Blair Betts the most underrated player in the league. Praised continued for Betts on January 24, 2009 when Larry Brooks, columnist for The New York Post, wrote that Betts and Sjöström could be the best penalty kill tandem in Rangers history. As of then, the penalty kill was a franchise high of 87.6 percent. Sjöström is not on the roster either. I guess Brashear will be killing penalties after all. And pigs will fly! -

Why not hire a bodyguard who would retaliate after the game by breaking the legs of anybody who but looks the wrong way on Gaborik? You have to draw the line somewhere.To me it is way before hiring a goon like Brashear.
